Wetlands Preservation, Inc. is an environmental consulting firm specializing in site design and assessments, ecological services, construction support services and regulatory permitting in New England. The firm has positions open for experienced professionals in the following areas:

Wetland Scientist/Herptologist
Experienced Wetlands Scientist with a background in herpetology. Individual should have experience in evaluating rare species populations and habitat, and be capable of providing assessments of development project impact and mitigation measures. Candidates should have a good working knowledge of field sampling procedures. Experience in wetland delineation, habitat assessment, and wetland permitting desirable. Candidates should have a Bachelor of Science degree in an applicable area of biology and at least three years experience. Advanced degree(s) highly desirable. Salary commensurate with experience.

Wetland Scientist/Wildlife Ecologist
Experienced Wetland Scientist/Wildlife Ecologist with a Masters or Bachelor of Science degree in botany, soils, forestry, wildlife biology or freshwater ecology with experience in wetland delineation, habitat evaluation, impact assessment and mitigation, and wetland permitting. Familiarity with New England local, state and federal wetland regulations is essential. Work would involve freshwater wetland delineation, wildlife habitat evaluation, wetland functional analysis and impact assessment, wetland creation, and wetland permitting. Advanced degree(s) in an applicable field is desirable. Candidates should be certified or capable of being certified as a Professional Wetland Scientist. Salary commensurate with experience.

Soils Scientist
Experienced Soils Scientist with at least a Masters or Bachelor of Science degree in Soils Science or an applicable field and be certified or capable of being certified as a Soils Scientist. Experience in hydric soil delineation is essential and experience in High Intensity Soil Surveys is desirable. Work would involve delineation of wetland and soil boundaries, soil mapping, soil testing and evaluation, and site permitting. Salary commensurate with experience.
